I did that once, serving salad. Some of it sploshed into the wine glass. This presented a problem. To drink the crunchy wine or tip it into the salad bowl? Good question. I've tried the "red wine vinegar" as a salad dressing option, but I've found a good, aged Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon has a lot nicer effect. And yes, I do enjoy a little lettuce with my salad dressing.

Why not leave the lettuce aside and relish the dressing?

Why not leave the lettuce aside and relish the dressing? Good question. Hey, lettuce leaf all our dressing aside and go straight for the "desert's dessert" - our Menu of Fine Island Wines, of course.

as far as i can see a proboard is a proboard is a proboard with minor variations i.e. giving different names to the same things.. ) Proboards are like Islands, dulcinea. They're either devoid of habitation - you'll knowledge of them will be immense - or they are inhabited. That is the difference, Sweetheart. You've made some good and bad points. The rip-off idea is a red herring but you'll need to cast your net further for bigger fish in the sea. Desert Islands are fine but by their very nature limited and reliant on the creativity of the inhabitant - as yet I can't see where this creativity and imagination is going to emerge. <as far as I can see a proboard is a proboard> Well sadly, when you're shipwrecked on a Desert Island you can't see very far unless you've brought a telescope as a luxury item instead of something utterly useless such as a Van Gogh painting (Tracey Emins tent may come in handy though). What you can see is a vast expanse of water, water everywhere but not a drop that's drinkable and maybe the occasional passing Luxury liner. There is however some solace, dulcie. There are myriad other deserted Islands to go to and you'll be pleased to know I won't be found on any of them. Okay lads, Ship ahoy!

Why do you need to see QNI to see the simiilarities. Let's see, there's: Moans and groans and thoughtful debate and science and society and a little bit o' politics . Culture -The painted word, the silver screen and all things arty, crafty and received on the steam wireless (oh, OK, and the telly, then). There's a music board. There's an arts and crafts section. And then the games section. That's not too difficult to see where all that came from. But yes, directly copied from QNI, as the mod here says. Surely no one could be so naive as to not see the similarities? Also the oldie, also most pro board type thingies. shooorely?

This little hiccup had all but died down Posh! The Mod here was quite clear about the fact he had ripped off QNI, and has very graciously removed the bits that were clearly duplicated. It was necessary as most of the membership comes from QQR!

aaaah, sorry, just seemed most similar to most proboards, apologies.
What Ho. Shall I be posh again? The sporty has strange connotations I may or may not be able to live up to.

The sporty has strange connotations Ah, well, if you’re going to go around having connotations, just make sure they get past the auto-mod.
