To go with the headgear ... This looks suitably light (and would be the perfect complement for my lovely red top hat)

Very nice, Dear Lux, but your choice is a bit revealing for my tastes. I think I'll pack this in my beach bag and wear it on the sands. Zipper closed, of course.

Make sure you take lots of fluid with you, Pooka.* It can get very hot inside one of those, you know, even when you're on your own. * juice, moisture, etc.

I'll bring plenty of Tequila, Grand Marnier, and Marguerita Mix! Hmmm... can't very well be on my own with you "loitering within tent" now, can I? Oh, you may loiter if you wish. Care for a "Cadillac"?

'Marguerita Mix' -- wasn't she married to Tom Mix, in about 1917? Or am I thinking of two other people?

Those are all well and good but we mustn’t forget one of these:- or else Person Friday’s Coconut Castaway Club might not let us in for breakfast and then where would we be?

Also these: Saint Paul went out on the beach without them and look what happened to him. Wellies for lots of castaways here:

Saint Paul went out on the beach without them and look what happened to him. Quite right, Nursie: went blind. Thank you for thinking ahead and providing wellie-boots. I’m rather impressed with the stripy ones: I’ve not seen those before. I suppose they’re for use when you need to go out on the Damascus Road in your pyjamas.

Nowhere worth going insists on a dress code... I do beg to differ. Although, if nothing else, they make good coffee though... dem de "perks".

Nowhere worth going insists on a dress code... I thought we'd covered all this. Sigh. There's a dress code here. Seashell necklace and/or tie (you can wear both and indeed, I have seen both at once), wellyboots (that way you don't go blind), and pajamas. The pajamas bit is open to interpretation, however.

Can we dispense with the pyjamas if we wear a very long tie, please miss?
