Crusoe - my beau was not pleased with your remark! Ah, look, um, sorry about that. I didn’t mean, er, well, er, you know. Ha ha ha, all friends here, eh? Er Ooh – look up there! <Crusoe exits, hastily>

A spoof cocktail in SCanutehorpe
Well that's bloody marvellous! I type the name of a British town*, and it's censored by the fakackte auto-moron. Merde!

Benbow, I notice that the welcoming committee were rather busy on the “Natives” thread. That spear waving thing of theirs is just their way, you know, perfectly friendly chaps, really.
Anyway, WELCOME, Benbow: an admial admirable name, if I might say so.

Merde! *Sc unthorpe Ah, um, yes, I’m not sure there’s much can be done about that: I don’t know why it looks for words within words. I thought Canute was quite funny though (mind you I was in the Rose and Crown at the time). Feeling a bit thirsty now, actually, and one can’t drink this seawater: too salty, you know.

I am today mounting an expedition to the far side of the island and will not be around for a week or so.
I tell you this so that you don't think that I've been eaten by cannibals or escaped on a small raft made of palm leaves and driftwood.
In fairness to them, I shall be leaving those of my crew, who survived the shipwreck, behind when I go. Under the circumstances I think it best that I relieve them of their duties so that they are no longer part of the Queen's Navy.
As I am going alone, you will probably find my discharged seamen in various places all over the island.

Please be safe, and hurry back. And do watch out for those "men at sea", but something tells me you can take on anyone. See you in a week? I'll be counting the days, starting today, so don't be late!

I'm taking the liberty in the Ahoy There thread of saying HALLO AND WELCOME to Mimi. but only since I'm the only one in and someone should do it*. And now I'm out again. Bit like cricket really. (where's the fluttering eyelids smilie?) *if this salutation already posted elsewhere, sorry, and well, Good! Mimi, bandage-rolling classes start Monday, OK?

Thank you Nurse Duckett. So glad I drifted to this shore. It's very soothing and peaceful here, Mimi. Gentle waves lapping on the sand. Sea shells on the sandcastles. Lime in the coconut. No one gets burned or blistered. Hope you enjoy it

Thank you Nurse Duckett. So glad I drifted to this shore. So am I, Mimi. Apologies for not being in when you were cast away. I echo nurse Duckett’s sentiments: WELCOME

Ahoy there, Sportyscouse. How wonderful to see you about these parts. A very warm WELCOME to you but please note that there aren’t that many islanders, so I would be grateful if you didn’t talk them into mutinying, just yet).
