I don’t know if anyone is intending to review Mr. Gardner’s appearance on DID. The emotional strength of women certainly crosses one’s mind whilst listening to horrific stories such as this and it’s for this reason that I’d nominate Mariane Pearl for consideration as a guest on the programme. Emma Fielding’s reading of the extracts from ‘A Mighty Heart’ on R4 were beautiful and Ms. Pearl’s suffering isn’t something that one can ever forget.

The emotional strength of women certainly crosses one’s mind whilst listening to horrific stories such as this Yes, Mr Gardner’s family were clearly very important to his recovery. I’d nominate Mariane Pearl for consideration as a guest on the programme She certainly appears to be a very strong woman. It would be fascinating to hear what she has experienced and where she got her strength from. |
