P.S. Perhaps I should suggest that all members send their 'real name' information to the mods, because - to be honest - I didn't know of this 'real name' that was posted until so much fuss was made about it.

This is really silly to be happening amongst adults.

Perhaps some people might find it annoying if they post under one name on board x and under another on board y and then a third party reveals this. I'll drink to that. On reading down this thread I see, though this may have something to do with the fact that it's a weekend, and if it is then that is regrettable, inconsistent moderation. The first time a real name was used it was edited out on absolutely correct grounds, in my opinion. Yet that name has now been repeated three times, and all in the absence of the person named. Does this mean that anyone can type a real name in here and have it removed, but others can repeat it as they wish? Of Course I'm not suggesting more rules, but I think there ought to be a Modly guideline on this, in public. The bbc boards were then. This is now. People change over time and may choose not to have their names displayed in public which is entirely a matter for them, and as such, should be respected. ps. Upsetter, the fact that you have used your real name on other boards and don't mind about that, is not a convincing argument. this is utter rubbish... if someone chose to use their own name is must surely mean they dont mind it being known... i do hope you understand this sentence... it certainly makes absolutely no sense to me... disingenuous, disingenuous, disingenuous???

Do you recall the Wet Nurse in 'Gone With the Wind', Ms.Duckett?
Well you're doing a remarkable accurate portrayal of her.
How can anyone get so hysterical about a name everyone knows anyway?
Who on earth do you think reads your limericks, Nurse - the FBI, CIA or MI6?...please go and lie down, we're perfectly capable of coping without you sticking an oar into things every 5 minutes.

on reflection... unless, of course, you edited upsetter's and my posts in order to confirm the man's name as real... 1066 and all that... arrivederci.... this is all too pathetic... nurse ducket as a pace setter for this board is a real winner...

thanks, I think we knew already. Most of us don't need a thesaurus. One wonders how a name in frequent use over several years and known to the majority of us and of someone both me and dulcie know rather better than 'nursie' is deemed 'disingenuous'.
Indeed, the word is more apt to describe the writer..so often authors write about themselves and pass it off as fiction.
The portrait of Dulcie, in case you are worried is of how 'I imagine her 'essence' to be'. As soon as I saw it, it shouted 'dulcie' to me - to put your mind at rest (if that's possible) I can safely inform you and indeed provide proof that it is 'not' her. Just in case you were worried it might be.

People.... ...on this Island. It is happy, light, and carefree. Mutual respect will keep it that way. Beakette, you put it brilliantly. Thanks.
