I seem to recall someone, sometime, somewhen
agreeing that to out people's IDs from other boards was a NO NO ;D !
good heavens the very next thing might be photos etc.
Outrageous MB manners!
CG, with steam comin' out her ears!

...is it only me? Convos in IMs or on other boards..... are not I feel I have to repeat it, NOT, for bringing up elsewhere...especially when they have ***K all to do with the matter in hand! I should have been a blads doctor or priest - my discretion is wasted on proboards

If you have a concern about the Island, please send an IM to The Beak or The Beakette (AKA Pooks). Any problems here should be dealt with stat.

Ooops, guess I need to teach Pooka to check her IMs before she offers to take any IMs for me. Thanks for the note, puffin.

The post in question on another proboard has now been mofidied. IMs have been sent to the two members on that other proboard who quoted the original post in full, asking them to modify their posts too.
Thank you for drawing my attention to this matter. However, I find it somewhat odd that you've chosen to start a new thread here, as a guest, and not on the proboard where the offence took place. It would have been easy (and far more discreet) to IM me there, wouldn't it? Or IM me here. By starting a new thread like this as a guest (and therefore the posts cannot be deleted or modified except with Moderator intervention) then surely you are drawing more attention to the offence on another proboard?
Also, points of order.
(1) The name I posted is a pseudonym of a member here on yet another, third proboard. I do not even know if that member is a member of the proboard where the offence took place as I have not been there long enough to find this out or have this pointed out to me. I have also referred to the member here, using her pseudonym on the third proboard and as far as I can recall she had no problem with this at that time. However I am willing to stand corrected on that.
(2) The name someone else posted here a little while ago, was someone's real name, not a username or pseudonym. That was a far worse breach of etiquette.
(3) A member here routinely refers to my previous username on another proboard. I don't see anyone shouting about this, including me.
Again, thank you for drawing my attention to this matter but I think perhaps it would have been better done in a less public manner.
Nurse Duckett.

Sorely tried yesterday was a bit off all round! back to sifting

There's nothing wrong with a little etiquette, I'm sure. However, secrecy can be our downfall, not to mention it's divisive nature. If anonymity is important I think you should be aware that, sooner or later, you'll be found out - intentionally or by accident. Best to be up front at the beginning, imo. It happens to us all. I mean, I like to be provocative at times, but I'm careful to get the measure of a MB first - I don't wish to spoil it for people. Pleasant MB deserve pleasant posts, provocative ones, provocative posts. Imagine my surprise to find my opinion on one MB being discussed on another less argumentative space, but referring to me by my username on the less argumentative space! Well, the game's up now and no mistake... ..still, I don't mind really. There are many more bridges to burn before I have to start swimming for dear life.

Imagine my surprise to find my opinion on one MB being discussed on another less argumentative space, but referring to me by my username on the less argumentative space! No-one discusses my opinions even on the boards where I post them. But I do think that a bit of respect for others is a good thing.
