I have a suggestion for those concerned. Ask the opinion of some of your non-messageboard friends and family, a spouse, what-have-you. Tell them what the situation is, and maybe you can get an outsider's viewpoint. Oh LOL LOL LOL When I tell my non-messageboard friends and family, they always say: These people don't really exist, do they? So therefore, I made you all up. These Proboards are just so much bliss

Seems to me that many posters on QQR and the Island came from a common source, so why should there not be discussions of common topics? As Pooka (?) said, most of us know each other.
Nevertheless I see a distinct difference between the boards - a Good Thing.
If D/U could stop prostituting himself everywhere, more idiosyncracy might be maintained ::)
PS: of course we don't exist. LA doesn't exist. Hence my excitement at meeting someone who claimed to live there.

Put the buttons back where they were before and I'll be a happy little roger. Whilst the prospect of a happy little roger always delights me, I’m afraid it’s not that simple. The buttons are where they’ve always been, it’s the logo that’s moved and it was done so that it didn’t interfere with the “Hey, Man With No Name, you have 666 messages, 666 are new” bit, which is quite useful to members. One way around this would be to reduce the width of the logo and put it at the top of the screen, again but then it would begin to look a little like Another Place and that’s a road which, frankly, I would prefer not to go down, at the moment. |

There's a code you can get off proboards. It puts the 'Hey Crusoe/Beak you have 666 messages' bit at the bottom underneath the pic.  |
