Oh no, the R4 hypochondriacs favourite programme,
'Check Up', is coming back on R4 – doctors making even more money for themselves! So, ‘The Food |Programme’ encourages R4 listeners to stuff themselves silly and then they all ring in to 'Check up' for a diagnosis.
I’d like to know how much of the R4 budget (£70m/year?) is spent hiring doctors for (so-called) medical related programmes. No wonder these doctors have big smiles on their faces when you see pictures of them on the R4 web-site.
Let’s see an end to all these selfish phoney medical programmes on R4 and replace them with serious medical science. Let us also see fewer doctors on R4. Some of the money saved could be used to transform 'Profile' into a proper programme. These endless landline interviews are a real killer and just don’t work.
