I have a sneaking feeling that the drama experts at R4 would regard this as a little uncool, but I’m really enjoying it. Ms. Emma Fielding is an exceptionally talented radio performer (with a gorgeous radio voice) and is a very convincing Rose. However, the slight flaw on last night’s broadcast concerned Jock when he played the flute. Jock’s voice doesn’t suggest that he’s musical and the recording of the flute playing (within the play) sounded rather clumsy.
