Pooks, whatever you put in previous post it makes my browser go completely mad. Can you edit it please? Thanks margechefhat something Deleted, at the request of Nursie. Apparently her browser is driving her quite a bit 'madder' than she has made it out to be, and we cannot have a mad Nurse on the Island. If you want to see the image designed - especially for YOUR thread, Nursie! - you can click here... img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/Kyarahh/Desert%20Island/margechefhat.png
(Nope, it wasn't just a Google search - it was specially 'created'.)

This is a hat in Hawaii, apparently . . . Yes, I believe it's called the Chinaman's Hat. Quite a nice hat. Thank you, Miss Duckett. In fact, your choice is probably more stylish than the headdress I'd chosen for myself:

I live opposite the close leading to the parish church. The millinery I see when people are getting married is a constant source of wonder and delight... whoever thought they looked anything other than ludicrous in those hats? Oh, I just happened to find this while searching for wedding hats... By the way, what's a 'titfer'...? ;D And no, an appropriate answer would not be 'tat'.

A titfer -- a 'Tit-fer-Tat' - rhyming slang... don'choo know nuffink?
My father always referred to his hats (Grey Trilby, Black Homburg, Tweed cap and Police Dress Cap) as his titfers -- I was advanced in years before I realised the derivation... d'oh!
An whoever did that to that poor little dog... actually it's quite funny....!

"It’s a well-known and world-acknowledged fact that alcohol is a very good thing. It’s myriad of uses, from acting as a mental anaesthetic to its application as an attractiveness-enhancer, are renowned throughout the land. It helps us to sing, to be creative, to lose our inhibitions and brings people together. What better invention can there be?
"There is only one real downside – the fact that we need to carry it around, in between drinking. From the perennial pint glass to the cumbersome cocktail container, a common strand is that we have to hold the glass. This, as we’re sure you can see, is not ideal. For example, when gesticulating wildly, you’re liable to spill your drink. Equally, performing a Mexican wave at Twickenham whilst clutching a can is likely to upset the person sitting behind you. And if they’re a stereotypical rugby fan, it might be wise to start running.
"But even then you’re encumbered by the can, leading to the choice that no true drinker would ever want to face – drop the drink, or face a pummelling. That’s where this thirst aid helmet comes in. Holding two standard cans of drink, you can enjoy both at once through the straw, providing you with double the refreshment with none of the effort. Colour varies between red, blue, yellow and white."NOTE: Author accredited via long 'url' link, in case anyone is interested in purchasing one. Send me an IM if you'd like to borrow mine before buying. ;D

Haven't we seen Homer Simpson in one of those? I don't think he's active enough to need one.
