Oh wasn’t it just fab Waves? Had to listen again this morning, because it was so good. I loved that final line: ’It isn’t manifestos, but events that determine what a government does’. So all politics is now fly-by-wire! The ‘good dad’ culture is also fascinating. DID is about to come on and I’ve been thinking about the late Lord George Brown all morning. P.S. Yippeee, a good blast of Alternative Ulster on BH this morning!!!!!! PPS Fell off my chair laughing at the engineer, doctor, lawyer song on yesterday’s Weekend Woman’s Hour. Ms. Murray must have a soft spot for engineers.

Oh good, is Brian Walden back? He is such a great speaker: he is thorough and knowledgeable and knows how to present a story to an audience. I must make a point of listening.

I’ve always liked Mr. Walden and enjoyed his smiley helpful attitude when he hosted Weekend World. Broadcasting professionals were really nasty to him when he quit the programme (with reviews), but I was sorry to see him go. He sounds even better on the radio. I used to like the way he’d say (on WW): ‘ ….and you’ll correct me if I’m wrong'. He’s also kept a hint of his Midland’s accent which I like.

brilliant, perspicacious, powerful, analytical mind - brian walden for president... a man with an unusually developed sense of conviction and the ability to covey his thoughts in a crystal clear, concise manner... he is also not afraid to say: i was wrong.
irrespective what you think of his point of view - it is well worth listening to.
