Why is it that the majority of presenters (Eddie Mair being the exception) and guests on this programme are always southern? It's the most metropolitan orientated programme on R4 at the current time. All the women speaking on this morning's programme have truly horrible voices (Tanya Gold's voice is particularly unpleasant). Similarly, another guest claimed to be Scottish yet he's speaking with a southern accent.
Ms. Jowell and The Culture department should be investigating why R4 is allowed to get away with this southern bias, both in terms of its employees - especially its presenters - and the programme output.
