Inspired by the idea that you can make your “porn star name” from your first pet’s name and your mother’s maiden name, other pseudonyms have been discussed on the radio. So I thought I’d share these (and my names) with you:-
Star Wars Name
Your first car and any medication you currently take.
I’m not particularly impressed with this one, which makes me either Mini Opticrom or Mini Beconase. “Mini” doesn’t sound like a dynamic star warrior to me.
Punk Rocker Name
This is a it better. You take your father’s (or mother’s, if you’re female) middle name and the last thing you ought.
This makes me Jim Sandwich, which I quite like. (Well, actually it’s James Sandwich but that’d be daft).
My favourite though, is the
West Indian Cricketer Name
This is the surname of the person who was American President when you were born together with the last coastal place you visited.
This makes me Nixon Greatstone, which I like rather a lot. I could imagine coming in at No 5 and batting quite solidly and also bowling a bit of left-arm orthodox. Obviously I have an over-active imagination. Do these give any of you particularly good names? Do you know of any others?

I’m not convinced about these Star Wars ones, at all. MG Glucosaminesulphate sounds like a Management Consultant Gosh, I think I’ve a picture of her:- My goodness, Nursie, you do look good for your age. Lincoln Littlehampton? Opening bat, I think.

In Star Wars, I'm Consul Nifedipene As a Windies Cricketer, I'm Roosevelt Bosham
I would never be a 'Punk Rocker' - besides, my father didn't have a middle name... he always felt he had been cheated out of something over that!

You do WHAT?How? ( gibber ) I too, should like to know. I could do it with the previous version, but can't find the right button to press with this v. Oh, good game, Crusoe. Star Wars: I am Polo Echinacea. Or, if we are talking "motorised vehicle" rather than the wheelist term "car" - Bantam Echinacea. Punk Rocker: Emily Crisps. Or Emily Cottage-Cheese, since I bought them both at the same time. West Indian Cricketer: a bit more credible - Eisenhower Newbiggin. (I feel a new BBCi nick coming on ...)

HI Lux, where you been, gal? The email alert thing? I found it, switched it on, then switched if off again because it just means two things to check. (the email address I used to register here is one I never use except for registering for things) Go to your IM box. Click on preferences, it looks like a hammer thing. Pretty soon in there you'll find a couple of things to click about email alerts. Hope that helps and nice to see you again! Nursie apols to Crusoe for interposing this techiestuff in his thread.
