“The lady wife, like most members of her sex, has an inordinate number of birthdays. As she grows older these undoubtedly increase in frequency.”… …“And at the end of the day she had the satisfaction of returning home having taken seven Leicestershire wickets at the cost of a mere seventeen runs.” ;D Wonderful stuff, Nursie. Tinniswood is much missed... sheer brilliance. Will this cover do?

Do what? It doesn't do much for me. " A Tale of Two Cities" ~ Charles Dickens (Has this one been done already? I didn't check.)

It doesn't do much for me. It does for me, though, Pooks.

It does for me, though, Pooks. Oops. Oh, but of course. "The Dog Crusoe: A Tale of the Western Prairies" ~ R. M. Ballantyne

'The Good Companions' -- JB Priestley A Good Poem - Roger McGough I like a good poem one with lots of fighting in it. Blood, and the clanging of armour. Poems against Scotland are good, and poems that defeat the French with crossbows. I don't like poems that aren't about anything. Sonnets are wet and a waste of time. Also poems that don't know how to rhyme. If I was a poem I'd play football and get picked for England.
