Unoriginal I know, but he clearly has potential as a useful Man Friday...and he is one of my favourite artists.



I'm laughing my way through his works at the moment.
I can see that a sense of humour might be essential on the island.
He is also very neat and tidy, loves to do the ironing, and knows how to mix a cocktail.
He would create the most stunning palm frond bender ever.



Predictable, but I could while away the hours with him very happily.



For good company and conversation.

A one-off and resourceful to boot. I think he and Dr Jones could have hours of fun designing spotty frocks.

Music maker: I'd like to have both of these



but if I can only have one, I'll have Jon Boden (the one on the right) because not only can he play the fiddle and sing at the same time, but he is also utterly, utterly gorgeous. (Have you got any Bach's Rescue Remedy, please Nurse Duckett? Swooooon ....)

Politician: well, yes, Tiger Lil's had the best, so I'll have this one. Apart from being entertaining, he picked a Dory Previn track on DID so he must have good taste. And since he got let out of the straitjacket he's worth listening to.

since i believe that possibly the majority of male artists are gay[ish] (possibly/likely a prerequisite for achieving their artistic excellence) i chose some renaissance men involved in most the fields specified - apart from JS - an important criteria was their interest in the female sex as i may be stuck with them on a desert island for a long time....

Now I didn’t have the presence of mind to think about making sure all of my needs were catered for on the desert island. What’s worse, I notice I’ve chosen four middle-class, white, English men: I won’t be receiving a Christmas greetings card from the Equal Opportunities Commission, this year.
