Crumbs! I have lived in the Du Maurier country (Fowey, Boddinick etc., in Cornwall) but can't say her books ever reached out and said 'read me!' Manderley does ring a bell now, though. Let me know how you get on with the book, it's great Oh, are you into campanology (too)?  Reminds me of summer Sundays somehow  |

Actually my last girl-friend took it up after she moved away from here - unfortunately she injured herself and had to retire hurt...it can be quite dangerous I understand! |

Does a Captain's girl-friend rank similarly with a Colonel's Lady? And why does Mrs. O'Grady spring to mind when I type that? Sorry to hear about the injury. Back, was it?
