Hi Lil! I didn't think much of it, I'm afraid. Very bland, almost actor's-DID-by-numbers. I nodded off towards the end as usual and missed hearing what his book and luxury were, though I was at least interested enough to go and look it up on the website - but he wasn't there yet. At least you enjoyed it! Any chance of saying why? I might re-evaluate my experience

Hello lux! I've forgotten why I enjoyed it now - I just did - OK! I couldn't begin to tell you what his book and luxury were.....and I listened to it . How useless am I? No replies to that question are needed!

No replies to that question are needed!OK! I happen to have the day off tomorrow and thought I might listen to it again if you could enthuse me. It's up on the website now and ... how useless am I ... I read what his book and luxury were and I can't remember. A mobile phone, I think, and something like Wodehouse or The Wind in the Willows. Now I'll have to go and check

Yeah, Wind in the Willows, and a wheatfree loaf.
Only one??

Wind In Thee Willows is not a completely disasterous choice ...
But one loaf of his 'own' brand bread is a bit pathetic!
Better to ask for the wherewithall to make it on the desert island - else unbelievers might imagine he doesn't bake all the bally Stamped Loafs himself.

Don't be like that. The man needs at least one loaf!

Man cannot live on bread alone.

I missed this one (and the one before and today’s ) but from what you’ve said and what’s on the website I’m not too disappointed. I get the feeling that I’ve heard it before but I keep on thinking that with these things: perhaps there are just too many radio interviews and they all merge into one. If I have heard it before, the fact that I’m not sure suggests that I didn’t find it too memorable.

So it’s just possible that age may not be addling my brain yet. Very reassuring; thanks, Lux.
