I just invented this. You can only take eight words with you. Plus one luxury word. Plus you get two books of words and you can choose one other (yeah, get on with it) My first word is: FOND I like the word fond. It makes me feel warm and soppy when someone says "I feel fond of you".

A couple of questions before we proceed, Nurse Duckett: 1) Is this a collaboration activity?
2) Must the word necessarily pass Automod?
3) May we use the word in context as well, as long as it is not directed toward any other Island Member?

A couple of questions before we proceed, Nurse Duckett: 1) Is this a collaboration activity?I hadn't thought of that, I must admit. I had only thought that perhaps we could post our eight favourite words each. If it's a collaboration activity it won't last long, will it? Seems like a good idea, don't you think?
Er, not sure I understand this question. You're not getting all literal, are you? I'm fond of you so there

My first word is "procrastinate" . Procrastination is the thief of time. and so is dithering.

So, how do you pronounce that then? It appears Nurse Duckett needs a lesson in Hawaiian from Miss Puka Pooka. Shall we all meet for a pronunciation session after the loo'-ou? (Hmmm, no. These fine Hawaiian fests are not held in restrooms, by the way.) ;D

On the one hand a blast fine word, on the other....

It appears Nurse Duckett needs a lesson in Hawaiian from Miss Puka Pooka. And do you wonder Nurse Duckett needs a lesson in Hawaiian, Pooka? I've not been to Hawaii yet. It is very hot there, isn't it? Hawaiian seems to me to be a language consisting almost entirely of vowels. What do they have against consonants? (unlike Russian which seems to consist of little else) Go on then, how do you pronounce this? Kauai. cowee? Regarding enunciate, I take pride in my enunciation. There's a record from many moons ago called Perfect Day. One line is I'm glad I spent it with yousome of the singers sing it: I'm gla I spenni wiv you which always made me squirm. I do impressions of Margot Leadbetter, of course. Jerry!

Well here's another word then. TACTILE It combines Tact and Isle. Two of my favourite things. Plus, I'm naturally tactile as anyone who 's been in my surgery knows me, knows.
