was employed on every sign for Apple's and Sprout's, for instance - and don't' you mean GREENGrocer's', Benbow? - PLUS a whole lot of other illiterates who cannot see an S without putting an apostrophe in front of it so why don't they apostrophise Chri'stmas then,
