Well I, for one, happen to appreciate the works of Degas, not only for the subject matter he was known for, but for his use of colour, lighting and spatial effects. Please, pick an artist for a lesson in Artists 101 (oh, from some quick Google image search, easy enough, yes?), and post a picture or two to give us the flavour of a new artist's works. Of course, your posting choice doesn't mean you'd go and hang a replica on your wall. The 'real thing', maybe... now, that would be worth quite a bit of money. ;D

* Automod has joined us on the isle too, you know. Yes, I’m afraid so. I, apparently, typed Herbie Hanthingy into the song title game the other day:-/ Perhaps there’s a bit of work for admin, here, eh, Puka? Lovely pictures, by the way.

I, apparently, typed Herbie Hanthingy into the song title game the other day:-/ Hee hee... I was wondering why the creative use of letters and numbers. To be expected, I'm sure. It always takes a bit of time to sweeten something which has been deserted. Would that mean the task is to 'dessert' it? It is brightening up rather quickly though. ;D

bows down, curtseys, licks sand, tugs forelock Oh dear Nurse, you have made me giggle myself silly, I'm not so sure I can keep still much longer. So, I assume you've also discovered that the sand is actually made from some of the world's sweetest raw sugar... ;D

Oh dear Nurse, you have made me giggle myself silly, I'm not so sure I can keep still much longer. Always good to hear. Demerara. Demarara. Those brown crystals? Oh Good! Thanks for explaining the pronounciation by the way. It was bothering me a tad.

Thanks for explaining the pronounciation by the way. It was bothering me a tad. Yes, I wouldn't want you all to think I came around due to seasickness. Although, now that there is a Nurse on the Island, I'm sure I'd be quite well taken care of.

Perhaps I will order a tasty citrus iced treat this fine sunny day. Not a glass of orange juice, then? I don't think a thimble-sized cup of espresso will whet my whistle this time. No sense of adventure, some people. I’m told it’s possible to make one of those last for almost half an hour.

Not a glass of orange juice, then? I suppose a mere glass will do, with a fine, authentic English breakfast. But let's not forget the rum. I believe you're right. I've seen it done firsthand!

| One of my favourites, a breathtaking Hawaiian artist born in California in 1956 by the name of Christian Riese Lassen. I am amazed at his underwater seascapes and incredible use of the entire colour spectrum. It leaves me in awe, and I admit, I've left drivel on the floors of his galleries in Maui, Hawai'i.
Here we have his work entitled "Galaxy Of Life". |

Wow, Pooka, that’s quite a sight. It reminds me a little of Mati Klarwein’s work, of which I’ll try and find an example, later but, for now, dinner calls.
